Directly in the Bergmannkiez and yet beyond the hustle and bustle: with its somewhat hidden location in a Kreuzberg courtyard, Good Morning Vietnam is perfect for a short lunch break or dinner in a quiet, decelerated atmosphere. On warm days, the pretty terrace on the upper floor is also suitable for ending balmy summer evenings with a drink. One of the restaurant's specialties is vegan duck, which is served as a side dish along with fresh vegetables and a creamy coconut-peanut sauce.
All other dishes here are purely vegan as well; instead of meat, tofu and seitan are strongly seasoned and then crisply grilled, fried or caramelized. Especially recommended are the rice noodle dishes such as Bun Sa Ot with caramelized tofu, seitan and lemongrass chili. A bit more hearty and therefore perfect for colder days is the crispy sesame tofu on a colorful bed of vegetables as well as rice, refined with chili, garlic and teriyaki sauce.
