Spending the day relaxing by the lake and ending the evening with a glass of wine overlooking the water: sounds like a perfect summer day to us. The legendary "Wannseeterrassen" not only has an elegant restaurant area but also a Biergarten with a vew of the lake.
While upscale cuisine is served at the snow-white tables inside, things are more casual outside: at the counter near the entrance, you can order beer, wine and snacks for in-between meals. Our recommendation: The tarte flambée - whether as the classic version with bacon or vegetarian with arugula and feta.
The actual highlight, however is the location with its idyllic setting: situated directly on the water, with a dreamlike view of sailing boats gliding by, while the last rays of sunlight bathe the terrace in a warm, intense light. Add to this the gentle sounds of the water splashing the edge of the green shore - and the vacation moment is perfect.
