When Rajesh Lama moved to Germany, he was surprised to find that in otherwise culturally versatile Berlin, classic Nepalese dishes were missing. All this changed when Rajesh opened Holy Everest in 2019. The food itself offers a glimpse of the flavors of Nepal: The starters, like fried mushrooms with Ayurvedic spices and Momos dumplings with spicy chutney, salad and a fruity mango dressing come in small golden bowls and are ideal for sharing. If you feel like something more hearty and filling, the Everest Camp Three Soup is just the right thing on a chilly day. With lots of fresh vegetables, garlic and spices, it warms and energizes you from the inside out. And if you still have room afterwards the traditional yoghurt dessert with cinnamon, cardamom and caramelized pistachios is the perfect finale.
