There are few other places in Berlin where the spirit of old times is as palpable as at Ora in Kreuzberg: not only does the name pay homage to the former pharmacy "Oranien-Apotheke", but the elaborate wood paneling and stucco are original from the 1860s and 1920s. In 2015, Ora moved in as a café, which quickly became a Kreuzberg favorite with its casual interior and decelerated atmosphere.
In 2020, it was eventually transformed into a restaurant that serves fine-dining creations based on seasonal ingredients. In line with this seasonal approach, the menu changes regularly. There is, for example, tender zucchini salad with fluffy whipped ricotta or tomatoes with anchovy dressing and summer truffles on creamy burrata. Finally, for dinner, you have a choice of three to four courses, usually including a vegetarian option.
