When visiting Markthalle 9, hardly anyone can avoid the smell of freshly baked bread from Sironi. Since 2013, breads and baked goods have been made there according to the best Italian tradition - from classic wheat breads to spelt variations and fluffy focaccia.
The bakery and the team around owner Alfredo Sironi have built up a steadily growing fan base over the years. It was only a matter of time before the expansion: In 2020, a second bakery opened in Goltzstraße, along with an adjoining pizzeria. Since then the Italian classics have also been available beyond Markthalle 9, including the crispy durum wheat semolina bread and its crispy spelt variation, as well as focaccia and of course the pastry specialties.
Above all, the spelt bread convinces with an aromatic-strong crust and an unexpectedly soft and tender core. A bread so aromatic and dominant in taste that one would prefer to enjoy it pure, at most with a little olive oil and sea salt.
