Vietnamese and vegan? In Berlin's gastronomic landscape, this combination can now be found in abundance. Despite the large selection, Soy in Mitte is well frequented, whether for lunch or dinner - a reservation is usually recommended. No wonder: central location, attentive service and authentic, well-seasoned dishes invite you to come back even after your first, second and third visit.
In addition to Vietnamese cuisine classics, there's also a tapas menu with smaller portions: Ideal for sharing and perfect for those who like to try as much as possible. But even here, the quantity should not be underestimated: The smaller portions are quite enough, two to three tapas dishes per person should be sufficient.
Our favorite: the crispy fried tofu slices surrounded by spicy zitorne grass curry, crispy chili rings and fresh spring onions. If you still prefer a big main course, you can choose from hearty soups, noodle and rice dishes, or a hearty fire pot for two. Or how about a spicy red curry with tofu, seitan and tender vegetables, for example? Or a hearty casserole of stuffed tofu, crunchy broccoli and rice? For colder days, we recommend one of the Phos: The broth, normally not conceivable without meat and the traditional fish sauce, convinces here with such a full-bodied, powerful flavor that can easily keep up with the original.
