New openings
Coffee and cake - Argentinian style, perhaps the best sandwiches in Kreuzberg and creative cuisine and aperitivo in Charlottenburg - these three new openings are definitely worth a visit .
Romeo's - lunch spot for hearty deluxe sandwiches and lavishly topped focaccia

The sandwich trend in Berlin is entering the next round: Romeo's is now the place to go for toasted melt sandwiches with sourdough bread and lavishly topped focaccia sandwiches. Our recommendation: the "Mushroom Melt" (an absolute highlight!) and the "Vegan Szechuan" with spicy tofu and cucumber. Good to know: The prices are rather high in relation to the size of the portions.

AURA
From breakfast to lunch and aperitifs, you can start your day (or evening) in style at Aura. A glance at the menu reveals that creativity and innovative flavors and combinations are definitely the focus here. From beetroot bruschetta with tahini, wasabi and pomegranate molasses to eggplant baklava and sour cream crèpe, there are few classics, but all the more innovative creations with that certain something.
Merienda Haus - Berlin's first Argentinian bakery

The newly opened Merienda Haus not far from Akazienkiez promises a little piece of Argentina in Berlin. Specifically, this means comfort food in the form of buttery pastries. There are medialunas (Argentinian croissants) with various fillings, alfajores (double cookies, traditionally filled with dulce de leche), a variety of cakes and tarts, as well as savory items such as sandwiches and chipas. Perfect for a quick breakfast or the eponymous merienda (afternoon snack).
